Alongside this, the Slitter improves growth and quality of grass. It improves drainage whilst simultaneously maximising fertiliser input and eliminating slurry run off. Aerating soil also allows oxygen interchange through the soil surface and also encourages the evaporation of moisture in the surface layer of soil so that it dries out quicker – this will help stimulate earlier growth in the Spring.
